Friday evening competition is reserved for the NetSetGo program. This is children aged between 6-9 years of age.

Hills District Netball Association (HDNA) coordinates winter netball Competitions for our area.  Pennant Hills Netball Club brings together children from our local community to take part in the HDNA competition.

Netball training occurs on the Friday evening between 4:45 pm to 6pm (pending coach availability). After training they play a game against another netball club where they learn to implement the rules of netball.

Games are played from 6-7pm.

NetSetGo Teams:

HDNA Set & GO Competition consists of a combination of any age group between 6 and 9 in the year of play. Teams are graded on the basis of age and skill. ‘Set’ generally consists of younger players and ‘GO’ is generally for older players, however, mixed aged teams could be graded into either competition. Within Set and GO, teams are graded based on playing history. Native bird names delineate divisions: GO-Kookaburras, GO-Lorikeets and GO-Magpies, Set-Emus, Set-Koalas and Set-Wombats. (HDNA Woolworths NetSetGo Guidelines 2025)

There is lots of flexibility for all players as they learn the rules. There is a set of modified rules for NetSetGo which helps the younger players learn on the go with umpires on court also facilitating the learning of the rules.

The netball courts do not have modified posts. The focus is mainly on learning the skills of netball and recording all the attempts toward the goal as well as any goals scored. The focus is not on who has won or lost but participating and having fun.  The recording of goals and attempts are just used for grading purposes only.

Registering to play for the 2026 Winter NetSetGo Netball Competition takes place from 4th of December 2025 through to 12th of February 2026.

To establish numbers, we encourage our NetSetGo players to register early, in January, allowing time for the Club to recruit more players or close registrations when capacity is reached.  Best to register early and avoid disappointment.  Talk with other parents at school in December and put a team together.

Active Kids Vouchers are available to be used at the time of registration. Please visit Service NSW website for further information before registering.

Registering your child is completed online at PlayHQ.

If you are a new participant to PlayHQ please sign up first by selecting the menu bar on the top right hand side and select sign up.  After signing up you can proceed to register your child.
